Yahya Adel Ibraheem
Architecture and Environment
Lecturer

A practicing architect, lecturer and researcher at Department of Architectural Engineering, University of Technology-Iraq, in Baghdad, where I act as a deputy registrar of the department. I have served as a member of architectural design studio team for more than fourteen years and have taught Freehand Drawing, Building Construction and Computer Aided Design for many years. I am also a section editor for the Iraqi Journal of Architecture and Planning. My research, in Architectural Technology, focuses on improving building energy performance and increasing thermal/visual comfort using integrated solutions while minimizing the building’s environmental impact. I completed an MSc in ‘Technology of Architecture’ from the University of Technology-Iraq and received my PhD in ‘Built Environment’ from the School of Environment and Technology, University of Brighton, United Kingdom.”
