A group of faculty members from the Department of Architecture Engineering (Dr. Yahya Adel Ibrahim, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Younis Mahmoud Mohammed Salim, and Assoc. Prof. Hussein Ali Al-Kahaji) participated in a joint cooperation program with a research team to accomplish the study titled:
“Optimization and Application of Developed Green Nanocomposite Materials for Effective Grey Water Purification.”
The research focused on enhancing sustainability in local households by testing an innovative system for recycling greywater to optimize water consumption using filters made from locally sourced, natural, and sustainable materials.
This study is part of an international collaboration program between the University of Technology and the University of Cambridge, UK, culminating in the publication of the research in the prestigious journal:
Chemical Engineering & Processing – Process Intensification,
which has a high impact factor (IF = 3.8) and CiteScore (7.8) and is classified in the first quartile (Q1) of the Scopus database.
We congratulate our esteemed faculty members on this achievement and wish them and their colleagues continued success and excellence.
